SOLSTICE PAGAN COMMUNITY PICNIC
An interfaith gathering
at Bryan Park Woodlawn Shelter,
Saturday June 17, 11am to 7pm
WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?
It’s about celebrating the Summer Solstice
(Midsummer), meeting with fellow Pagans, learning about Pagan groups in
the area, eating food, and having fun! There will be rituals and a
WHO CAN ATTEND?
Wiccans, Druids, Heathens, Christians, Jews, Muslims,
etc. Anyone of any Pagan denomination, any other religious faith, or
none at all. If you are interested in learning about the Pagan
community in Bloomington and the surrounding area, join us! All are
welcome. This is a family friendly event, so bring the kids.
WHAT DO I BRING?
You can bring a food or beverage for the potluck (no
alcohol, please), a drum or other acoustic instrument (no amplified
music), information about your Pagan group (information only, no
vending allowed), and, of course, bring your curiosity and fun spirit.
You are still welcome if you bring none of these things.
WHAT KIND OF RITUALS?
Black Bear Grove will be leading an ADF-style ritual
honoring a variety of Indo-European deities to demonstrate the
breadth and depth of ADF Druidry. We will honor Brigid, Lugh, Odin, and
Hekate. Rituals by other groups to be announced.
